videoGIN 1.1 Released!
kermitware is pleased to announce the launch of our flagship product, videoGIN, and its initial public release, version 1.1! videoGIN is a unique solution to a growing problem: an increasingly varied audience of web clients (like traditional browsers, smart phones, tablets, and netbooks), and a seemingly unending array of video formats required by each different device. You even need separate streams for different Internet connection speeds and types! With videoGIN, you only need one source video to easily produce streams in all the mobile streaming formats you need. videoGIN supports the full range of Apple(R) HTTP Live Streaming specifications, in addition to the free and open HTML5 standard WebM video. You can also output Theora-encoded and 3GP streams. videoGIN takes the pain out of the process, producing streams for all these formats at all the necessary connection speeds. It even generates the HTML5 and JavaScript needed to stream to all of your users from a single webpage.
Visitors viewing your video on iOS(R) devices like iPods, iPads, and iPhones will have smooth streaming video they can scan from end-to-end in real-time. Using HTTP Live Streaming, the right video at the right size and bandwidth is automatically selected from videoGIN’s output streams.
